A Creative Guide to the Heart of the Westfjords
Is it possible? Wayfinding in the Westfjords and its companions blossomed from a vision to establish an ecologically-themed long-distance walking trail between Ísafjörður and Látrabjarg in the Westfjords of Iceland.
The guide took root in observations that first began as study, and later evolved as we guided walking artist residencies and lead volunteer conservation camps in the Westfjords. Based on these insights, the guide bristles with detailed information on the history, culture and ecology of the region, and maps walking routes for beginners and experts alike. The creative practices we share in these pages invite a deeper relationship to nature as you wayfind in the Westfjords of Iceland.
